Palm Sunday Braid How-To

Curious to know how to make a Palm Sunday Braid? Take a look at this video for a step-by-step tutorial!

I thought I would share this little video for all the mamas that want to make a special little decoration for Palm Sunday and beyond to Easter and the whole year.

And now that my boys are starting to show a big interest in my work, I wanted to let you know this film was shot by my oldest son 😉

This is easy once you get the hang of it and it’s a nice tradition to pass on to your children.

Here you go:

It’s important to note that because the palms can dry out fast, so if you don’t start your braiding soon after mass, it could get hard to work with. A quick tip is to let the palms sit in a bit of lukewarm water if need be (although, I personally would not want to do that after the palms have been blessed, so we work quickly after mass!).

I hope this gives you a little insight to a tradition you may have wanted to start or have seen others do to their palms. Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing this! Simple enough and looks really nice. I wish I’d seen it earlier, but I’ve saved it for next year. 🙂
