Stuck on Mother’s Day gift ideas? Going local is the way to go! Here are a few local businesses I’d love to highlight for this special holiday.
I’m always happy to support local women in business; it truly is a passion of mine. I believe if women support women, there is nothing we cannot do.
That’s why I was so happy I was able to showcase local Mother’s Day gift ideas on Breakfast Television with Joanne Vrakas this morning. All these amazing gift ideas will be ready for you on May 9th at Shopping From The Heart! There are so many great gift ideas for YOU, for your mamas, friends, teachers, birthday gifts…
Moms Deserve SO Much!
Women are such good multi-taskers, so I know this event has that appeal to it, but I want ALL women to be pampered and celebrate a night out as well. That’s why we have a spa lounge from Curage Spa, a photo booth from Kreative Memories Photography, PLUS amazing food from Cavallero’s Kirkland, 3 Soeurs, The Coookie Twins, and Snapcakes! Oh, and we will also have drinks, coffee and tea.
Mother’s Day Gift Ideas From Local Montreal Businesses
Take note that this event has already taken place.
This Thursday night, May 9th, come out for a fabulous evening, support our local hospital, support our local women in business and celebrate!
Enjoy watching the segment and keep on scrolling to get the full list on my gift recommendations – and they all come from Montreal local businesses!
List of vendors from the segment:
Carolina Merizalde of Fleur et Sense – beautiful preserved roses that last over 1 year(!)
Chrissanthi Nastopoulos of Fifth Avenue Collection – jewelry for every style/character.
Catherine and Allison of Calli & Co Decor – personalized gift items with a great personality!
Anastasia Torchia of Tupperware – the FridgeSmart collection is my favourite for keeping veggies fresh longer.
Jenny Shepherd of Sweetlegs leggings – funky patterns available for adults and children.
Trish and her team of The Potted Leaf – artistically displayed plants.
Victoria Sage is a psychic and will be there to do readings, sells crystals
June Keen will be selling her lovely handsewn pillows.
Dorothy Nourse of Mary Kay will have a selection of cosmetics and creams.
Carol Ferguson will be on hand with all things Epicure.
Vanessa Rice of Stella & Dot will have her jewelry and accessories – look closely and you will see my heart earrings!
Erin Hogan of Young Living will be there to help you will all your essential oil questions.
Mandy Menshick of Em & Breeze will have nut-free baked goods, ready to gift for Mother’s Day (those flower cupcakes are so sweet!)
Sinthusha Kandiah of Divinart Foundation will be doing henna on your hands and selling her designed candles. All her money raised goes to her foundation.

Author, Akilah Newton, will be there selling her new children’s book on Black History, Big Dreamers.
Didn’t fit it in the segment but…
Kathleen Spaw of Bee and the Sea will be selling her sea-salt based handcrafted soaps. And they smell divine!
Hilary Ludwick of Little Box of Treasures will have lots of gift suggestions and her magical reverse umbrellas was a hit last year.
There are even more vendors at the event, with many more gift ideas and services, so there truly is something for everyone.
