Giveaway to the International Balloon Festival {#MontrealMust}

Have you ever been to the International Hot Air Balloon Festival near Montreal?

Well, now is your chance!

The good folks at the festival are giving one lucky family tickets to attend!

The Montgolfieres Festival in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu is already on its way and going on until August 17th. I’ve been going with my family for four years now and it is amazing every time. Last year, we finally got to see the hot air balloons take off and the kids were mesmerized.

If you don’t know what to expect, think of a full day of jumpy castles galore, fair rides, cotton candy, shows on stage, face painting, activities for the kids, concerts at night and la pièce de résistance – seeing 125 hot air balloons take off at sunset (or sunrise).

If I took a ride in a hot air balloon, I would want it to take me over the mouth of the St. Lawrence so I could see the whales.

I remember going to this hot air balloon festival about 26yrs ago when I was on a student exchange! (I grew up in Ontario)

I am too scared to ride in those balloons! However, the bouncy castles at the festival are out of this world:)

Just flying high up in the clouds would be the best peaceful place to unwind
