Mary Poppins Returns Giveaway

As much as I love going to the movie theater with my family to watch a new release, I equally love popping in a new(ish) release in our DVD machine and watching a movie from the comfort of our living room couch.

There is something great about cozying up with a blanket, squished together with a big bowl of home-popped popcorn that makes watching a movie at home special!

And with the long Easter holidays almost here, I’m anxious to catch up on some movies we missed in theatre together.

I can’t tell you how excited we were to go and see Mary Poppins Returns in theater and then, unfortunately missed our chance. Sometimes, timing, sick kids and schedules just don’t allow the opportunity to see things exactly when they come out. That said, I may be even more excited now, knowing there are so many added extra bonuses to Mary Poppins Returns Blu-ray edition.

Were you able to see it in theater? Are you excited to get your hands on a Blu-ray copy? Here’s the synopsis:

In Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns, an all-new original musical sequel, Mary Poppins is back to help the next generation of the Banks family find the joy and wonder missing in their lives following a personal loss. Emily Blunt stars as the practically-perfect nanny with unique skills who can turn any ordinary task into an unforgettable, fantastic adventure and Lin-Manuel Miranda plays her friend Jack, an optimistic street lamplighter who helps bring light-and life-to the streets of London.

I mean, when I found out Lin-Manuel Miranda was in it, when I knew there would be special cameos, when I saw new characters and scenes come to life, just like the original with half real and half cartoon, I was excited! And while the original Disney movie, Mary Poppins is one of my all-time favourite movies and will not hold a candle to it, I know that the magic of Disney has brought new story to life, allowing new generations to love Mary Poppins, and the message of family values.

Here I am in Epcot with the original super nanny during our first trip with the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration:

Already available in digital and Blu-ray for a little while now, we are anxiously waiting our holiday long weekend to enjoy this movie. And guess what? I have a copy for YOU!

Be kind but extremely firm is great advice. The kindness comes easy to me but I struggle with being firm and the kids take advantage of that sometimes.
