My oldest, who is only four as I write this, is finishing his second session of classes with Coach Matt from the company, Sportball. He was just three when he started and he absolutely loved it. The first day I took him, his eyes lit up. And to be honest, so did mine!

Children love balloons. It’s a well known fact that even though they can cry if their balloon pops in their faces they will still be back for more. The colours, the way they float and the pure celebration of them keeps kids attracted no matter what their age. Now, magnify that happy feeling that kids get by 100% and you will feel what it’s like to attend the hot air balloon festival in St Jean sur Richelieu. And amazing experience for kids young and old, the Montgolfieres St Jean sur Richelieu is the largest hot air balloon gathering in all of Canada.

This weekend Montreal is home to the annual Eating Well and Living Green Expo at the Palais des Congres. Stephanie was my guide through the maze of information there and we had a great time!

I have decided to make it a point to introduce you to some amazing local talents this season. I just love giving gifts to friends and family knowing that they came from local artists and business owners. It’s a simple way of spreading the word on your community’s riches and letting friends in on some great products that they may not have known otherwise. I’ve actually worked with a lot of local greats with my charity event and love it.

One thing that people all over the world flock to Montreal for is the Just For Laughs Festival, as it is known as the world’s largest comedy festival. The city turns into an extravaganza of outdoor fun and indoor celebrities. There is something for everyone, young and old, and that is what makes this festival one of my favourites.

Friends, I cannot tell you how excited I am to participate in this great event again this year! I was so excited last year to post about The SugarShacks of Quebec since it is such a great Canadian heritage piece.

My husband and I approach the gate and smile as we take in the site of the blue and yellow big top. We are about to see the new performance, Amaluna, by Cirque du Soleil. I was invited to attend as a blogger so I meet and greet the press team and then I am given my tickets for the show.
