This time of year always feels a little tedious to me. Because of the budget of the holidays, it’s never a great time to go shopping for anything, even though it would be nice to. And because it is SO cold out, the idea of spending money on spring clothes is like a sick joke. Spring is coming, right? Maybe if we say it enough times, it will come faster!

As you can see from the date, I have not been writing lately. Why? Good question. It is absolutely not for lack of inspiration. Nor is it from a lack reviews, and even giveaways. No. To be honest with you, my mind is all a flutter with the prospects of a new year at Ask Mama MOE.

As long as I can remember, New Year’s Eve has always been a pretty hyped up expectation and usually fell flat on its face. But since my kids were born, that changed.

Here in Canada, we are in the midst of a long weekend. Not because we are celebrating Thanksgiving. No, we got that done with a while ago. No, we have a long weekend because…honestly, I don’t know why we have a long weekend.

I am a fan of the 80s. There, I said it. I can’t be sure why, except for the fact that it was bright and happy and bouncy, and for a kid, it was a great era to live in. So when I found out ShesConnected was having a 80s theme party during the conference weekend, I was excited!
