This Friday is most likely your first Friday of the summer break and I have an invitation for you. The folks at Dream Works are putting together a virtual movie night for bloggers and their followers to tweet and watch the new release, Home.
If you didn’t see Home in theatres, Friday is the official digital release of the movie. I’m excited to watch along for its first screening online, since I haven’t seen it yet.
I watched the trailer and it looks pretty good:
From the trailer, I think the movie could be ok for all three of my children but I did a little extra research and searched for it on CommonSenseMedia.org (and if you haven’t heard of that site before, go check it out – it is a critique site for children’s movies – I just love it).
According to Common Sense Media, the movie is good for children, ages 6 years old and up. That being said, I may watch the movie on my own on Friday since my kids are doing an activity with friends. I don’t know about you, but sometimes, I watch a children’s movie alone first to make sure it is suitable for my children. It is an extra step, so if you don’t want to do that, Common Sense Media reviews are usually bang on.
So if you “do the Twitter” then join me online, @AskMamaMOE, with @DWAnimation at 7pm EST while I tweet and watch Home for the first time. I’ll share what I think about the movie and chat with you too!
Have you watched Home? If so, did you like it? Did your kids? Will you be joining me on Twitter this Friday? I’d love to know in the comments below. And if you have other great movie suggestions for kids, I’d love to know that too J
Here’s to the first of many summer Friday movie nights!
