For those of you who read my blog regularly, you may remember my posts on the Ultimate Blog Party over the past three years. This online blogging event essentially catapulted my desire to really excel in blogging and create my charity event which is now in its third year.

I am a fan of the 80s. There, I said it. I can’t be sure why, except for the fact that it was bright and happy and bouncy, and for a kid, it was a great era to live in. So when I found out ShesConnected was having a 80s theme party during the conference weekend, I was excited!

Last year I went to SCCTO as a newbie blogger and had an amazing time. The staff, brands and other bloggers welcomed me with open arms. I was blown away with the magnitude of the blogging community.

Friends, I cannot tell you how excited I am to participate in this great event again this year! I was so excited last year to post about The SugarShacks of Quebec since it is such a great Canadian heritage piece.

There are some things that I can honestly say have no rhyme or reason in my mind. I am a person of faith and I believe in God, but sometimes, it’s hard to stay strong and know that we are not meant to have all the answers as mere humans. It’s unfair at times. It’s downright heartbreaking. It is hard to keep going and keep going strong. But with the faith and love of your family and friends, you carry on.
