This weekend Montreal is home to the annual Eating Well and Living Green Expo at the Palais des Congres. Stephanie was my guide through the maze of information there and we had a great time!

The other day I got a call from one of my very best friends. It was so nice to hear her voice and hear about how her kids were doing. What I didn’t expect to hear was this:
-
Think you can leave a child in this small pool? You are wrong.
It takes a second.

It’s no secret in our home that Papa MOE is the worst eater in the bunch. Friends and family have poked fun at it for years, and I have tried with him, like a Mama tries with her children, to get him to eat better. It’s not that he eats terrible food. Whatever I’m making is what’s for dinner, so the main meal is healthy. But Papa MOE…just can’t get himself to eat vegetables.
I’m not joking. -
With three children under five years old, you can bet that the concept of spring cleaning sounds glorious. A spotless hallway free of sand and mud? A kitchen without finger prints all over the fridge and stove? Or how about a floor that shines? It’s a lovely thought.

I had to write this down the moment my little one went to sleep because it was too cute and funny and pensive all at the same time. And after I read it back, I thought you might get a kick out of it too. Do you have a worrier? How do you handle their concerns?

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to write about something so important: money! Surprised? It’s not necessarily something people like to talk about, but it is very important to discuss it with your children. I’m sure some of you are thinking, ‘well, not when they are so young’. And to that response I have to disagree.

There are some things that I can honestly say have no rhyme or reason in my mind. I am a person of faith and I believe in God, but sometimes, it’s hard to stay strong and know that we are not meant to have all the answers as mere humans. It’s unfair at times. It’s downright heartbreaking. It is hard to keep going and keep going strong. But with the faith and love of your family and friends, you carry on.

Do you remember the first movie you saw with the love of your life?
I do. (No pun intended.)
-
There’s something about you I can’t explain.
You are such a force and such a weakness of mine.
Sometimes my days do not feel complete without you
When I can’t have you, I feel weary and drained.
