As much as I am thrilled the event went well and we all had a great time, I was really tired afterwards and have been all week. There was a time when going out late (much later than my event) was really no big deal.

You have to hand it to them, Janice and Susan and their team at 5minutesformom.com really know their stuff. The Ultimate Blog Party is over and I have learned so much again!

As a typical mama, I am arriving to the party fashionably late. But I am here now and ready to mingle!
If you haven’t clicked on the sidebar yet (the cute one to the right with colourful stars), then do it today to join the fun. It’s time for The Ultimate Blog Party 2012!

The Montreal Botanical Butterfly Exhibit is going on until April 29th and it is really worth the visit!

Here in Montreal it’s a running joke that mid-March it will always be freezing cold for St. Patrick’s Day. So when the weather forecast called for great sunny hot weather the weekend of the great parade, I was sure it was wrong. “Just wait,” I told everyone, “we haven’t had a warm St. Patrick’s Day ever!”

Here’s a quick little craft to do with kids to get them excited for Easter Sunday. At my little one’s preschool they had a parade today and it was adorable! And while Easter bonnets are perfect for little girls, I wanted something less flowery for my son. Here’s what we came up with.

I had to write this down the moment my little one went to sleep because it was too cute and funny and pensive all at the same time. And after I read it back, I thought you might get a kick out of it too. Do you have a worrier? How do you handle their concerns?

There are some things that I can honestly say have no rhyme or reason in my mind. I am a person of faith and I believe in God, but sometimes, it’s hard to stay strong and know that we are not meant to have all the answers as mere humans. It’s unfair at times. It’s downright heartbreaking. It is hard to keep going and keep going strong. But with the faith and love of your family and friends, you carry on.

I bought this Irish linen dish towel when I was in Ireland years ago. Rather than see it fade from wear and tear, I decided to have it framed under glass at a local specialty framer.
