There are some things that I can honestly say have no rhyme or reason in my mind. I am a person of faith and I believe in God, but sometimes, it’s hard to stay strong and know that we are not meant to have all the answers as mere humans. It’s unfair at times. It’s downright heartbreaking. It is hard to keep going and keep going strong. But with the faith and love of your family and friends, you carry on.

I bought this Irish linen dish towel when I was in Ireland years ago. Rather than see it fade from wear and tear, I decided to have it framed under glass at a local specialty framer.

Sometimes you have to just laugh…or you will cry.

This Saturday when I left my home to run a quick errand, I had no idea that this was going to be waiting for me when I returned.

You have probably heard it a million times as a mama, but sometimes it gets away from you. Especially if you have more than one child, it’s hard to always “write it down.” all the funny anecdotes, all the milestones. I have heard it before, how a mama almost finished the baby book for the first child, then maybe got halfway through for the second, and the third was lucky to even get a book, let alone anything in it.

I had intended to only write Valentine posts leading up to the 14th. But, I couldn’t let this tremendous moment in music history pass without mentioning it. When I was in grade school, my religion teacher brought in a song for us to hear from a new and upcoming artist.…

Here is a (not so) Wordless Wednesday to start off love month. It’s a heart shaped bowl filled with snow. My oldest child filled it up for me! I think that’s a great way to say “I love you”!

There’s something about you I can’t explain.
You are such a force and such a weakness of mine.
Sometimes my days do not feel complete without you
When I can’t have you, I feel weary and drained.

Well, I don’t know what it’s like where you are today, but here in Montreal it is freakin’ cold!
