The sweet treats just keep coming into the home lately, and with Christmas around the corner, there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight (not that I’m truly upset about it).
But I have to admit my boys are starting to crave the sweets more than usual. Is it the winter weather? Is it the panettone my husband keeps buying? Is it the idea of Christmas baking is starting soon? There are certainly lots of reasons.
While I am a firm believer of “a little chocolate every day is good for the soul”, it’s important to show and teach children how to snack well. It will help them appreciate healthy foods and train them for good life choices when it comes to food when they are older and away from your watchful eye. I wrote a piece for Omaiki.com called Healthy Snacking Habits for Little Ones. If you are looking for tips and tricks, go on over to read the whole piece and let me know your thoughts.
