The Well-Circulated Pinterest Craft

Are you a fan of Pinterest?

If you haven’t checked it out yet, I can tell you, I just love it! I actually visit Pinterest more than any other site now. In fact, I even use it as a search engine.

Pinterest is a wealth of information in the form of images. It’s like a digital scrapbook, keeping your favourite crafts, recipes, blogs, wish list items, etc., all on one board for you to check out anytime you want.

Aesthetically, it’s beautiful. When I go to my board, or other friends’ boards, it makes me happy! It really is a visual way to see what you or your friends like in all different categories.

To see all my interests, visit me on Pinterest. And if you are on Pinterest, let me know! I’d love to follow you!

As I mentioned, Pinterest is a great resource for ideas. I find the best craft ideas for my children on Pinterest. Below is one that I had been eyeing for some time. My little ones and I finally did it a little while ago and here are our pictures of the project. I am a firm believer of giving the right person credit for ideas and images on Pinterest, so I always go straight to the source and not the links upon links. However, this project has been done by MANY crafters so I cannot be sure who the original was. At any rate, below is our take on this great craft. I will say, this is a craft that is exciting for toddlers, but mine got a little bored before we were done melting. Had they been slightly older, I think it would have been perfect.

You will need a box of 64 Crayola crayons.
You will also need a canvas (we got our at Walmart) and a strong craft glue.
Glue the crayons across the canvas, choosing your favourites (you will have some left over).
Once the crayons have dried in place, start melting! We used our hairdryer and it worked well.
It didn’t take long before the crayons began to melt. Little hands couldn’t resist as soon as I told them the wax was dry!
Our final result is now proudly hanging in our living room!
