Hallmark Father’s Day Ideas (easy & thoughtful, because please, it’s June)

Are you kidding me right now?!

I bet you said it at least once this week. Be honest. We always joke about guys forgetting the women in their lives for gifts, but this time of year, it may be the opposite.

It’s the end of the school year and there are tons of things to do and activities to finish and work to get done before the summer hits. If your children aren’t of school age yet, Father’s Day might be a joyous day filled with relaxing and cuddles. As it should be. But if you have kids in school, let me join you and admit, it is the furthest thing from your mind.

Luckily, you can run one errand and have all the thought and care put into Father’s Day without stress. It’s important to honour the dads in your life, and Hallmark makes that ridiculously easy (thank goodness!).

If you are lucky to have a husband or dad that’s into grilling, beer and sports, you are set. You really can’t go wrong. But my husband is special. He doesn’t really like any of those things much, so I can’t get him the typical Father’s Day gift. And there was a time when a tie would be perfect, but he works from home now so…nope.

I just had a fellow mama call me and ask what great ideas I have for Father’s Day gifts. Above are the Hallmark gifts, slightly out of the box and perfect to show how much you love the father of your kids and your own dad.

The Superman sign is awesome on so many levels. Even if the dad in your life is not a crazy comic fan, Superman is Superman, and this message is sweet ($14.95). The little book of You’re My Hero, Dad, is perfect for saying all the mushy things you might not always say. There is also space on the opposite side of each page for little ones to draw pictures for dad ($12.95). Chances are, you have a dad in your life that is a Star Wars fan. This travel mug is the coolest I’ve seen yet! BB-8 from the Force Awakens, reshaped for the road trips dad takes you on ($19.95). Hallmark always has beautiful frames, and this is a modern frame that is simple and touching all at the same time ($16.95).

And of course, you can’t forget the amazing cards that Hallmark has for every dad of every personality. These new VR cards are pretty cool. Check it out:

Pick up a nice gift bag too, and you have honored dad for Father’s Day, with Hallmark to rescue. Couldn’t have done it without them this year, seriously.

God bless my Dad for accepting the million ties, IOUs and crafts. I know now as a parent, it really is the thought that counts and I cherish my treasures from the kids. I know my husband does too. I just like offering a special touch, and Hallmark helps me do that for every occasion.

The father in my life that makes him my hero would be my father in law. He is always providing me an ear so I can talk and he can listen, he provides me with opinions and options and he provides a shoulder I can cry on when needed.

My dad is my hearo because there is nothing he wouldn’t do for us. Whenever we need our car oil changed, he’ll always be the first one to do it.

My husband is my hero as he is NOTHING like my father was. I’m happy to say we’ve been together for over 27, years, of which 25 we’ve been married.

My Dad is my Hero because he helps me as a single parent. Without his help I have no idea how I would be able to foster teenage boys.
