Eating Well and Living Green Expo in Montreal

If you have been following me in social media you may have noticed some interesting conversations I have been having with the fabulous Stephanie Moram of Good Girl Gone Green. Stephanie and I shared a room when we went to ShesConnected last year and since then I have been picking her very green brain about all things organic and environmentally friendly.

This weekend Montreal is home to the annual Eating Well and Living Green Expo at the Palais des Congres. Stephanie was my guide through the maze of information there and we had a great time!

There is so much to learn about what we eat, and how the food we eat is grown, prepared and packaged. The majority of the companies represented are local and organic. I was happy to see some of my favourite brands there and I was even happier to see I could purchase on site at a much lower cost than in the grocery or health food stores. Here is what I picked up:

I only scratched the surface of the expo and I hope to go again before the weekend is over. I would highly recommend going to see what our great Quebec and Canadian companies are creating. The entrance fee is $12 for the day. Many of the companies have samples to try and there are also free massages when you need a break from the walking!
