Dr. Seuss Grad Gifts and More from Hallmark

I will admittedly tell you I was not a big fan of Dr. Seuss books growing up. It just didn’t seem to be the books I gravitated to. But shortly after my first son was born, my sister and Grandma MOE gifted some classic Dr. Seuss books to us. I started reading them to him, and we have been hooked ever since. The rhyming is fun and at times challenging, and the stories, as goofy as they are, always have a sweet moral or good intention for children.

The go-to Dr. Seuss book for graduates since forever has been Oh, The Places You’ll Go. I remember one of my high school teachers reading it to us on our last day. It’s also a great book to give a graduate with a little hand-written note inside letting them know how proud you are of them.

Grandma MOE got my son this book once he graduated preschool (I know, amazing). And every graduation, we pull it out and read it together as we family. So imagine how delighted I was to find Dr. Seuss grad gifts available at Hallmark Canada!

They are inspired by Oh, The Places You’ll Go and they are so sweet and sentimental. The luggage tag is perfect for a grad going off on a summer trip, or moving abroad. The key chain is awesome for a graduate of Drivers Ed, who now has access to the family car, or maybe someone moving to a new destination. And the little tin luggage for a gift card is just adorable for any graduate, big or small.

You’ll be happy to know the Graduation Owl is still available at Hallmark (see my post on that here). Other favourite grad gift ideas available at Hallmark Canada are a sweet first graduation frame, a Good Vibes art sign, and a beautiful glass paperweight. These last two gifts are also perfect for a friend starting a new job, or even a unique birthday gift.  I personally can’t wait to get my Good Vibes sign up in my office. I think it’s a pretty great mantra to have hanging on my wall to inspire me to do the best I can.

In fact, I love this sign so much, Hallmark has offered me another one to give away!

Just enter the Rafflecopter below and let me know how you are celebrating the grad in your life. I wrote a while back how our tradition is to pack a picnic and head to our favourite place by the water on the last day of school. We spend time talking about our boys’ accomplishments and congratulate them on a year of hard work and effort. And of course, there are cupcakes. 🙂

This giveaway is open to Canadian residents only and the deadline to enter is 11:59pm June 30th. Good luck to all!

I love how I can head over to my local Hallmark and get everything I need to celebrate a grad at any age. Top any of these thoughtful gifts with a special greeting card and grab some nice wrapping paper or a gift bag and tissue and you are ready. And by the way, many of these are great teacher gifts too!

Congratulations to all the grads out there. And congratulations to the parents as well! I know how much you did to make this year a success for your kids, mamas. Here’s to a summer of fun and blissful family time. You earned it!
