Cleaning Up with #BetterLife – A Natural Alternative That Works {giveaway}

Ok mamas, you know what it’s like. Cleaning the house and making sure things are germ free for your little ones, but trying your best not to use products that are dangerous in any way.

There have been some products I have found in the past that work well, others have not even come close. Because let’s face it, natural products don’t always work.

I’ve even gone as far as to check out making my own concoctions with vinegar, lemon, and all the rest…a couple of times I tried. And I failed.

Introducing Better Life. The company approached me to test out their products. Better Life believes in good, clean, fun. That means they only make products that are good for the environment and our family. If the name sounds familiar, it’s because you might have seen them on Shark Tank:

Isn’t that incredible?! When I saw one creator spray the cleaning product in his mouth, not only did I want the products, but I wanted to really see if they worked as well as they claimed. Seeing that spot on Shark Tank made Better Life seem too good to be true. So I went into this campaign a sceptic.

First off, I read that all Better Life’s plant derived products are cruelty free, perfume free, sulfate free and petroleum free. All good stuff….but does it work?

The first product I tried was What-EVER. The spray is meant to be an all-purpose cleaner. I sprayed, things got cleaned up and there was no residual scent or film. Ok, I thought, this stuff is good.

Next up was the Even The Kitchen Sink cleaner, meant to be used for countertops, tubs, toilets, tile and grout. My first place to try it out was the glass cooktop. It really worked! The cooked on food from dinner was washed away without much effort.

Now I was getting hooked. What else needed cleaning? (As I said that to myself internally, I laughed externally…the answer was everything). The Einshine was the next product I tried. I had been meaning to go on a hunt for natural stainless steel cleaner but hadn’t gotten around to it yet. I tried Einshine, and the result was a streak-free fridge door, with a pleasant and real lavender-camomile scent.

But the best to date, and you will ALL appreciate this, is the I Can See Clearly WOW! Natural glass cleaner. We as parents, have the supreme joy of constantly “decorated” windows with little finger prints. No kidding, it is a joy to me to see them, but sometimes you need to do a good cleanup. The blue spray (that will remain nameless) does not enter out house due to its toxicity. This leaves natural sprays that have always left streaks.

Well, not anymore! My husband gave this one a go since he was curious. He started with the solarium door, off the kitchen. It needed to be cleaned up because we were about to put something on the window for the holidays.

“This stuff is impressive” he said.

Zero streaks.

And wouldn’t you know it? He didn’t put that spray down until he had cleaned all the windows of our home! It was amazing!

The Better Life line has a cleaning product for every area in your home. The whole line of products is now exclusively sold at Target Canada. I just love the names they came up with, making a seemingly boring chore into something fun! I can honestly say these products will now be a staple in our home, because they are safe and they work.

But you don’t have to take my word for it. Better Life is offering one lucky reader a $50 Better Life kit to get you going.

My biggest issue is how strong some of the cleaners smell. I bought a cleaner that had such an over powering scent I couldn’t even use it.

My biggest challenge is finding cleaning supplies that are safe to use around kids and pets but work well. I have tried a few and have not been happy with the results.

My biggest issue is the smell of some cleaners. They are overpowering and seem to last forever. I like something that smells nice but not too strong.

My biggest issue is just trying to stay on top of it. I really don’t enjoy cleaning and having kids and pets doesn’t make the job any easier!

Finger prints on my stainless steel fridge, streaks on granite and cleaning my cooktop are all huge challenges for me!

For me, it’s having so many animals (2 dogs, 3 cats, 2 chinchillas) and making sure what I use doesn’t affect the humans or furries.
