I wanted to mention to my local readers that if you want to extend the life of Halloween for your little ones, head over the Upper Canada Village. We took our children to see Punpkinferno and it was amazing!

I am a fan of the 80s. There, I said it. I can’t be sure why, except for the fact that it was bright and happy and bouncy, and for a kid, it was a great era to live in. So when I found out ShesConnected was having a 80s theme party during the conference weekend, I was excited!

As I crawled out of bed today and was dragging my feet with every chore I did, I realized why I felt this way. I had a Halloween hangover. I only called it that later today when I saw my Twitter friends call this day by that name. It seems to be ‘a thing’. And you’d think a Halloween hangover would consist of a headache from consuming too much alcohol from a crazy party in town that I only got home from in the early morning. But no. Nope! I had this ‘hangover’ simply because I am a mama and I went trick or treating with my three children. Okay, that’s putting it mildly.

Canada in the fall.
It’s a beautiful thing. The initial rush of getting back in order for a new school year has slightly subsided for most families and now the groove has set in. And before the fall season changes (ever so drastically) to winter (bite my tongue), I encourage everyone to get your families out for some fall fun.
